🌍 Project Swachh & Clean Citizen's ♻️
Help in Humanity Trust proudly leads Project Swachh & Clean Citizen, a nationwide initiative focused on spreading civic sense, environmental awareness, and responsible waste management practices across India. India’s progress is not only measured by economic development but also by how responsibly citizens treat public spaces, rivers, streets, and the environment. Unfortunately, lack of civic awareness often leads to littering, river pollution, open sanitation practices, and improper waste disposal. Through Project Swachh & Clean Citizen, our mission is to educate people from every age group—from children to senior citizens—about cleanliness, sustainability, and responsible public behavior. Our goal is to ensure that every citizen understands one simple principle:
Clean surroundings are the responsibility of every individual.
Yamuna Clean Up Drive – A Successful Environmental Initiative by Help in Humanity Trust
On February 15, 2026, Help in Humanity Trust successfully organized the Yamuna Clean Up Drive near Vasundhra Enclave, New Ashok Nagar, in collaboration with Rotary International District 3011 and Rotaract Club of Ingenious Minds. The initiative aimed to promote environmental responsibility and encourage community participation in keeping public spaces clean.
The drive began from Dashmesh Public School, where volunteers, Rotaract members, and dedicated youth gathered early in the morning with a shared mission — to contribute towards a cleaner and healthier environment around the Yamuna region.
Under the leadership of Shoumo Paul, Trustee of Help in Humanity Trust, the campaign mobilized volunteers who actively participated in collecting waste, cleaning public areas, and spreading awareness about responsible waste disposal and environmental protection. The initiative also encouraged local residents to adopt sustainable habits and take responsibility for maintaining their surroundings.
The drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, community members, and volunteers who worked together with dedication and teamwork. Their collective efforts not only helped clean the surrounding area but also strengthened the message that protecting our environment requires continuous community engagement.
This successful initiative reflects the commitment of Help in Humanity Trust towards building cleaner, healthier, and more responsible communities. Through such impactful drives, the organization continues to lead grassroots environmental efforts and inspire citizens—especially youth—to actively participate in protecting nature and promoting civic responsibility.
Civic Sense Awareness Camps
We organize community awareness camps to educate people about responsible public behavior.
These camps focus on topics such as:
• Importance of using dustbins
• Keeping public spaces clean
• Respecting shared community areas
• Maintaining hygiene in neighborhoods
• Avoiding littering on roads and marketplaces
These awareness sessions are conducted in schools, communities, public areas, and residential colonies.

Composting Awareness – Turning Waste into Fertilizer
Many organic materials can naturally decompose and become useful for the soil. Through our awareness campaigns, we educate people that:
• Flower waste from temples or homes should not be thrown into rivers
• Instead, flowers and leaves can be buried in soil
• Over time, they decompose and turn into natural fertilizer (compost)
This simple practice can reduce water pollution and promote eco-friendly waste management.
Recycling Awareness Programs
Many everyday materials can be reused or recycled, but people often throw them away due to lack of awareness.
Our campaigns educate communities about:
• Why recycling is important
• How recyclable waste reduces pollution
• Which materials can be reused
• How recycling conserves natural resources
By promoting recycling, we help reduce landfill waste and support environmental sustainability.

Promoting Responsible Public Behavior
One of the major environmental issues is the dumping of pooja materials and flowers into rivers. Through Project Swachh, we spread awareness that:
• Rivers must be protected from pollution
• Religious waste can be respectfully composted
• Eco-friendly practices are essential for protecting sacred water bodies
Our goal is to respect traditions while protecting nature.
One major reason people throw garbage on roads is lack of accessible waste disposal systems. Through Project Swachh, we plan to install dustbins in public places, including:
• Roadsides
• Public parks
• Market areas
• Community gathering spaces
This initiative ensures people have proper facilities to dispose of waste responsibly.
Public hygiene is an essential part of civic sense. Our volunteers actively work to:
• Educate people against open urination in public places
• Encourage use of proper sanitation facilities
• Promote hygiene awareness in communities
Through awareness and responsible communication, we encourage people to adopt clean and respectful public habits.
Impact Created So Far
Through Project Swachh & Clean Citizen, Help in Humanity Trust has already taken several impactful steps:
• Organizing Yamuna Cleaning Drives
• Collecting roadside waste and ensuring proper disposal in dustbins
• Educating local communities about cleanliness and civic responsibility
• Interacting with citizens to encourage responsible waste disposal
• Promoting environmental awareness among youth and volunteers
These initiatives have helped spread awareness and inspire communities to participate in maintaining cleaner surroundings.
Future Goals
Our vision for the future is to expand Project Swachh & Clean Citizen across India through:
• Large-scale civic awareness campaigns
• School-based cleanliness education programs
• Community sanitation drives
• Dustbin installation initiatives
• Volunteer-led environmental workshops
• River and public space cleaning campaigns
Our aim is to ensure that every citizen understands their responsibility towards maintaining a clean and healthy India.
